La Fontaine | Sarlat Accommodation

Situated close to the wonderful medieval city of Sarlat, La Fontaine is a large old stone farmhouse dating from the early 19th century. It has been  beautifully restored in traditional style. The exterior has not been spoiled by over restoration and retains its very attractive period character. The interior is tastefully finished to a very high standard with quality furnishings and fittings, but the origins of the house are evident everywhere with original oak beams,stonework and wooden floors.

Standing on the edge of the small peaceful village of Simeyrols in the hills above the river Dordogne with stunning views across the valleys, with the river itself just a few minutes away, La Fontaine is at the heart of the Dordogne in an idyllic setting with all of the attractions of the area within easy reach, a perfect centre to explore one of the loveliest parts of France. Or you could just relax with a glass of wine and admire the wonderful views.

The 8 x 4 metre pool is situated in lovely secluded flower filled gardens and there are 2 large old lime trees that provide shade for sitting or dining or for parking cars out of the sun.
